EigenLayer Announces the Second Season of "Stakedrop"

The Eigen Foundation has officially unveiled the launch of EIGEN Season 2 Stakedrop, which aims to reward contributors and participants as the EIGEN token approaches its unlock. A total of 86 million EIGEN tokens, representing around 5.1% of the total supply, will be distributed. This stakedrop will recognize three main groups: Stakers & Operators, Ecosystem Partners, and Community Members.

Token Distribution Categories

Participants who actively staked during Season 2 will be rewarded with the largest share of tokens. 70 million EIGEN tokens (~4.2% of the total supply) will be allocated to this category.

• Distribution Basis: The allocation is determined by each participant’s proportional share of ETH-hours, calculated in a completely linear manner.
• Eligibility: Only those who staked and operated nodes during Season 2 are eligible.

2. Ecosystem Partners

Ecosystem Partners, including AVSs, LRTs, Rollups, RaaS providers, and other key contributors to EigenLayer, will share a total of 10 million EIGEN tokens (~0.6% of the total supply).

• Eligibility: These partners have played an essential role in supporting the EigenLayer ecosystem. All participants will receive equal rewards, as their contributions are considered equally important.
• Transparency: The identities of these ecosystem partners will be made public.
• Claim Deadline: The claim period also ends on September 17, 2024.

3. Community Members

A total of 6 million EIGEN tokens (~0.35% of the total supply) will be awarded to early advocates, open-source contributors, and projects that have supported EigenLayer from the beginning.

Reward Distribution for LRT Users
